We have many goals at A Ticket To Kona which include motivating, inspiring and providing learning opportunities for all of our ATTK community members. In addition, we hope to answer the following questions:
- Is it possible for a person without a pedigree athletic background to qualify for the Hawaii Ironman, the greatest one day athletic sports race in the world?
- If it is possible, what would it take?
- How long would it take?
Although we may wonder if it is possible, we shouldn't wonder. The fact is, it can be done, because it has been done. The individuals below have shown us what is possible with hard work, discipline and persistence. They are all stories that have made us believe, which is wonderful. In the end, you have to believe it to achieve it. They are ordinary people with extraordinary achievements.
If you would like to nominate a person as a Hero on A Ticket To Kona, please email editor@atickettokona.com We are seeking candidates who possess the following characteristics;
